Re: Queries on WG

Indeed, there was an issue with the additional coverage and the guide mode which has been corrected in WG 1.7 (the release won't delay much - probably by the end of January). You can of course develop Serotic coverings (or any other fitlered type of covering) whilst having active the additional cove...

Re: Queries on WG

Hi skirrow and thanks for the good words. To your questions: At the moment we input all the relevent parameters , v,k,t,m , then set the base coverage and the % coverage , what would you suggest with regard to the ]b] block setting ? At the moment I set it to a very high level and then adjust the ot...

Re: Development - Wheel Generator 1.7

Just a small update on the development. The presets operation is completed. This feature allows saving all the setup parameters of WG: covering parameters, optimization, My numbers panel and all the settings of the filters. Offered a load/save/delete functionality and also the presets are filtered a...

Re: Development - Wheel Generator 1.7

The huge speedup improvement of the FDs calculations now allow the building engine to produce quicker improvements. As an example, I'll use my favorite 18,6,4,6 which was analyzed at the development of WG 1.6. For a reference http://forums.anastasios-tampakis.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76 . My 18 selec...

Re: Development - Wheel Generator 1.7

The filters will be operating in normal mode only. This import process contradicts to the operation of guide filters (FD).

Re: Development - Wheel Generator 1.7

Well, that's easy to be done since the introduction of the FD concept makes this a straight forward process. I'll add this for the next release.

cheers

Re: Development - Wheel Generator 1.7

So you say to import such a covering and pick only the necessary amount required among those blocks to maintain a defined guarantee? Building around a "mother wheel" is another technique anyway.

Re: Wheel Generator 1.6 officially released on 21 December 2008!

Hi Frank and Happy New Year to everyone! If I understand your question correctly, you want these blocks to remain as is, no matter what other blocks WG may add, change or whatever to generate other guarantees. Essentially you want this wheel to reside within the construction WG will attempt. This is...

Re: Some question about WG 1.5.

Hi Crocodile23, I see. Is this valid for WG 1.6 also? I mean, does DEMO and non-DEMO of 1.6 work with the same speed also and it's just the analysis(and the save option) that is not displayed correctly? Because i see now that you have different downloads for DEMO and not DEMO. The speed is the same ...

Re: Some question about WG 1.5.

Dear Crocodile23, the processes of WG are non-deterministic which means, on every run with the exact same parameters, the outcome will be generally different i.e. you will not get the exact same blocks you got from a previous run for the same parameters. This is the nature of the building algorithm ...
