I have an active GAT subscription but no WG subscription
I got some usage points for 5 euros.

Can I get a WG subscription, based on these usage points,
or do I have to get a yearly WG subscription ??

Usage points is not a subscription neither can be converted to one. If you have a subscription however, usage points can be used to extend it. Keep in mind a subscription is always quite cheaper compared to usage points. Usage Points are a means to utilize all the apps available but is mostly intended for casual users. You can use WG with usage points till you decide to get a subscription if so desired.
