Hi LA, downloaded 1.8 and not going so well. When inputting numbers into my numbers and running optimization it automatically reverts to the amount of numbers inputted. Say I input 4,6,11,15,16,24,29,33,34 it will revert to 1-9 instead of the numbers I put in. I also could import a wheel and change the pointer numbers to mine and now that also reverts back to pointer numbers. Had no problem with 1.7.

You may remember that covering developed back at WG 1.6 times.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76&start=40

The achievement back then for the covering

Group 1 : 1,2,3 - requesting 1-2 numbers from this group
Group 2 : 4,5,6,7,8 - requesting 1-2 numbers from this group
Group 3 : 9,10,11,12 - requesting 1-2 numbers from this group
Group 4 : 13,14,15,16 - requesting 1-2 numbers from this group

achieved a 16,6,5,6 = 142 FD 100%, missing 2208/8008 (unconditional 5if6 72.43%)
The best competitive wheeler managed a minimum of 155 blocks...

The improvements in WG speed have managed even further improvements. WG 1.8 made the following within a couple of hours of optimization:
16,6,5,6 = 138 FD 100%, missing 2298/8008 (unconditional 5if6 71.30%)

Yet another example of the power of WG. This one is a Serotic 4if6in18 positional wheel (6 groups of 3 numbers each, requesting 1 number per group). A known wheeler makes this in 22 blocks, Robert Serotic has made this in 18 blocks (previous known record) and WG has managed to make a new record! The amazing thing here is that we can find improvements with WG even in small constructions like this one.

18,6,4,6 = 17 FD 100%, missing 6124/18564 (unconditional 4if6 67.01%). The unconditional 4if6 requires 42 blocks to be played. I leave the comments to you. :)
