Wheel Generator 1.8.3 officially released on 1 March 2011

Wheel Generator 1.8.3 is officially available now! The download links are active! :D

Registered users of Wheel Generator 1.8.1 or the 1.8.2 prerelease, please login to your licensed area at the website to obtain the latest release from the local server. You have to copy the "wg.lic" file from WG 1.8.1 folder to the installed folder of WG 1.8.3 and also the "Presets" folder to retain your presets in WG 1.8.3. It is recommended to completely uninstall any Wheel Generator versions from your system before installing WG 1.8.3. If the browser displays the old webpages, just click the "refresh" button of the browser.

This version is an improved WG 1.8.1 which has increased computation speed along with a major change at the way the optimization engine operates (dynamic automated bias vs the old manual user defined static bias). A new filter has been added, named "compare history draws" as mentioned at another thread. Finally It has fixed all known issues mentioned in the previous release. More subsequent releases will follow till we reach the target as described in the WG 1.9 development thread. I hope you'll enjoy this new release!

One thing to note is that the new auto-bias sliders will seem a bit strange at first. It is just a matter of getting used to the new optimization mechanism, the help file provides some information on how to effectively operate these sliders but if you face difficulties, don't hesitate to ask for help here.

Also to tease you for things to come, one of the most brilliant features of the private builds of the initial WG 1.4 (never was released to public) was the ability to improve the hit ratios for any given construction, besides the initial coverage guarantee offered for the same amount of tickets. This differs radically from balancing the covering to contain the same occurrence of the numbers in the design, which does not ensure maximized hits production (WG does not balance the wheel because this doesn't necessarily mean a better construction). There is an old thread discussing this and I am working on the next release to include this super feature. This wasn't included in previous releases because it dives deeply in the construction to achieve these amazing hits (and it was quite slow), however the current WG's design has become quite mature now and I believe it is the right time for this feature to be added as well. More information in due time.
