Cannot Extract Complete Meaningful Draws...

Post by sasharp65 » Thu Nov 20, 2014 1:31 am

First let me say that I've created 5/43 and 6/49 games and successfully imported draw histories.

However, I'm trying to create my first Powerball type game and I'm getting Import errors. Unable to analyze the history draw file, cannot extract complete meaningful draws, you can adjust the import parameters manually.

I read the manual, searched the forum but I can't see where the problem lies.

It is a 5/75 + bonus ball 1/15 game.

It currently is a 151 draw file.

Here is what I'm trying to create:

Here is the error I'm getting:

Here is a sample of my draw file:

Any help would be appreciated.

The only way I was able to get it to import was to replace my dates with indexes, 1,2,3, etc. Is that right? I'd like to have dates with my draws.

So I create a 200 line test.csv file.

01/01/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/02/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/03/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/04/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/05/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/06/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/07/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/08/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/09/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
01/10/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6
etc...

I get the same error message.

It will only Analyze after I skip 3 numbers from the beginning of each line, and at no time does it let me choose the date format.

Hi sasharp65, two things to take into account. First, have you defined dates during the definition of your lottery game? I don't see that screenshot in your images. You have to set it to "1 draw per day/week". The mmtest.txt" file is perfectly acceptable by the AI thus this is what I can assume is happening. The second issue is, the sample you have provided above with all the draws to "01/04/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6", this cannot be imported by the AI because it does not have enough information to appreciate what each number at each position is not (except of course 2012 which can be even an irrelevant value). The AI import mechanism must have enough draws to properly understand e.g. is 01/04 is part of a day or actual drawn numbers or even irrelevant data. Given all the numbers here (except 2012) are within spec to be dates or even drawn numbers, the AI complains. If for example you had in there some draw like
"18/04/2012,4,20,23,24,35,36", the AI right away knows 18/04 is day/month and not month/day because of 2012 and the other numbers are part of the draw since they are within the allowed numbers range and they can't be day or month dates. That's why the AI complains to you. The indication that you had to replace the dates suggests that you haven't enabled you lottery game to expect dates as part of the lottery definition. Re-create your game and set dates to "1 draw per day/week:. If you have issues after that let me know, perhaps you could send me the text file you try to import.

Hi LA.

I did not define the dates because I did not see a '2 draws per week' category, maybe I was too literal.

I recreated the lotto and defining the date '1 draw per day/week' (even though it is 2 draws per week) and was able to define the date format. At that point it allowed me to import the data.

The samples I provided in the previous post, "01/04/2012,1,2,3,4,5,6' etc. were just a snippet so you could reference the formatting. I did not want to paste all 200 lines in the post as I felt it was unnecessary. The file I was trying to import at the time did indeed have 200 lines of data.

So this issue is now resolved.

Thanks!
