Australia - Oz Lotto
Recently this game altered its draw from 7/45 + 2 bonus balls to 7/47 + 3 bonus balls. This change made the whole history incompatible thus a new lottery game has been created with a fresh new history of two draws so far. It will take some time till the online service produce some predictions (several draws are needed). Also this new game is available in GAT (use the search database option).

Hi,
just out of interest with regards to amount of history ( for any lottery ) ............
What would you consider the optimum amount of draws required to " Predict " a favourable outcome or at least the minimum required ?

Re: Australia - Oz Lotto
Optimal depends on the characteristics of the lottery, some may provide better outcome with bigger stat. data and/or tested draws for hot/cold cycle detection. The default settings in GAT assume 140 history draws to make a scan. A minimum meaningful scan with let's say 10 stat.data and a "stretched" low of 25 tested draws, this means a minimum should be around 2*10 + 25 = 45 draws or so. You can reduce this requirement further by lowering stat.data/tested draws but I don't think it is worthy, at least under the principle GAT works. You can go even stat.data = 7 and tested=20 which require 34 draws but this quickly becomes meaningless.
