Decade Distributions

Post by draughtsman » Sun Jan 27, 2008 6:19 am

TRANSFERED FROM OLD FORUM

Hi LA,

How could I use Lotto architect to obtain the numbers possible by the decade distribution?

Example Lotto 6/49

1-1-1-1-2_______1.980.000
1-1-1-3_________2.112.000
1-1-2-2_________5.346.000
1-1-4___________554.400
1-2-3___________2.851.200
1-5_____________44.352
2-2-2___________801.900
2-4_____________166.320
3-3_____________126.720
6_______________924

Hi Hyperdimensional,

unfortunately there is no filter in the program that can display the full breakdown of what you ask for. The most relevant rejection filter is the "overall rows" which displays the total occupied rows by each combination but not the specific formation. To count according to decades, watch the 10xY column in the above filter.

A value of 1 (1 row) means all 6 numbers in the same row
A value of 2 (2 rows) means 3-3,2-4,1-5 numbers in each row
A value of 3 (3 rows) means 1-1-4,1-2-3,2-2-1 numbers in each row
A value of 4 (4 rows) means 1-1-2-2,1-1-1-3 numbers in each row
A value of 5 (5 rows) means 1-1-1-1-2 numbers in each row

The filter you request is for inclusion as well and will be named "individual rows" or "-rows" (it is a shape formation). The same type will be added for the columns as well.

Hi LA,

Thank's for the answer, the decade filter is a good option in future versions of LA.

There are strategies based on this type of filter.

Sometimes I wonder how I didn't think of such filters prior releasing LA2.2, but probably I can't think of everything
There is a new system I'm thinking of lately that can derive new filters, based on existing ones. For example, the above you asked for is the fundamental behaviour of row counting and cannot be divided more. The filter "overall rows" is a certain combination of the above shapes that can occur. Thus, the "overall rows" filter is not really a new filter but a different way of counting occurrences of different shapes like 1-1-1-1-2 etc. This idea is applicable in a more general way. For example, many people want sums in ranges and not strictly individual values. This system allows to mix individual values as one value and form ranges of sums. So, instead of having rates for the sum 15, 16 17 etc, with this system you can perform analysis on ranges e.g. 15-30 as a single "value", display statistics for this range etc.
I name this system "grouping values". I don't know if I'll have it ready for LA2.3 but it is a good addition anyway. There are some issues to be solved first.

cheers
